Settle Market and the Watershed Mill

Enjoy a lovely day out with a visit to the pretty little market town of Settle situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  With an included visit to the Watershed Mill, one of the most visited Woollen Mills for a bite to eat and a bit of retail therapy.

Settle
This pretty little rural but idyllic market town is full of  life and vibrancy and comes even more to life with a weekly Tuesday Market.  It is home to the famous Settle/Carlisle Railway with its converted waterhouse (as seen on George Clarke's t.v. program Restoration Man) this town has a lot to see and do.

Settle is an ancient market town with a market charter.  The town is located at the gateway to Upper Ribblesdale at the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales.  Immediately overlooking the town is Castleberg, a 300 feet limestone crag.  Settle retains its historic role as the area's commercial hub and has a thriving range of independent shops, banks, places to eat, places to stay and places to be entertained.

Watershed Mill

After our visit to Settle we make our way to the Watershed Mill, situated just on the outskirts of Settle.  This retail destination is housed in a converted cotton mill on the banks of the River Ribble
