Thursford Christmas SpectacularThe Thursford Christmas Spectacular, a fantastic festive show. Thursford’s Christmas Spectacular has attracted over 5.8 million visitors to date. It is set in the magical surroundings of mechanical organs and fairground carousels, with a cast of 120 professional singers, dancers and musicians – most of whom are straight out of the West End. The three hour performance delivers an extravaganza of non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety. It’s a fast moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites, with famous and much-loved chart toppers being performed alongside traditional carols. Word of this amazing show has spread and it is now generally recognised as being the largest show of its kind. Friday We make our way from the local area to our hotel in Norfolk for the next 2 nights with a comfort stop en-routeSaturday This mornings excursion will be confirmed, depending on times of the show. Free time in the beautiful and historic city of Norwich with its Norman Castle and its magnificent Cathedral. Explore this historic city that dates right back to the Iron Age and right up to the present time. We will then take our seats for either the Matinee or Evening show of the Thursford Spectacular (Show times to be confirmed).Sunday We depart Norfolk today and make our way home via the Springfields Shopping Outlet for a bit of retail therapy and a bite to eat before arriving back in the local area mid to late afternoon. Day 2 Today we make our way to Berwick upon Tweed this lovely town has a lot of history with a market, castle and barracks before making our way to Holy Island./Lindisfarne (this may be changed, around, subject to the tidal causeway tide times) Day 3 Alnwick Gardens & Castle: Today is a free day to explore. We have included a visit to Alnwick Gardens & Castle. Home to the Dukes of Northumberland. (Make your own way back approx. 5-7 minute walk to hotel from Castle Exit). Chesterfield: Today we make our way home with a stop in the lovely town of Chesterfield, take a walk through the town and find out how the 'Crooked Spire' got its twist. Or go bargain hunting in Chesterfield Market.
