Discover the ‘Diamond Isle’ on our scenic, circular excursion. See the popular spots as we take the scenic route along the island including, The Needles, Alum Bay with its multicoloured sand, before we make our way to pretty Yarmouth, a bustling town with a natural harbour, quaint cafés, and a main square overlooked by a stunning 17th century church.
Isle of Wight Steam Railway & Godshill
Full day enjoying a unique view of some of the island's unspoilt countryside and quaint villages as we take a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Settle back in the beautifully restored carriages and watch the scenery roll by! We continue on to visit the picture-postcard village of Godshill, full of pretty thatched cottages, which are clustered around the quaint church one of the most photographed destinations on the Isle of Wight. The name of the village derives from local legend, when the church's foundations stones were moved from the bottom of the hill to the top mysteriously overnight. The Old Smithy, the former home of an old Black Smith, is home to a delightful coffee shop and gift shop
Day at Leisure in Shanklin
The town of Shanklin has long been known as a traditional holiday destination and has everything you need. With lots of amusement arcades and crazy golf, it is the epitome of the British beach resort. There are few locations on the Isle of Wight which boast such a tranquil and picturesque location. The stunning tree-lined Shanklin Chine cuts its way from Shanklin Old Village to the sandy beach and Esplanade. Shanklin has no shortage, welcoming pubs and cozy cafes. As well as on the seafront there is a good cluster of eateries on the High Street.
Sandown
This morning we make our way to Sandown on our included half day excursion. Famed for its long stretches of golden beaches, traditional British seafront and pier and great attractions, Sandown makes for a lovely day out.
Osborne House Opulent, flamboyant and undoubtedly impressive, our included trip to Osborne House is not to be missed. Explore the State Rooms, the walled garden and the intimate family rooms where Queen Victoria made a home with Prince Albert and their nine children. Queen Victoria said of Osborne, that 'it is impossible to imagine a prettier spot' and the palatial house is brimming with ornate furnishings, artefacts from the Royal Collection and trinkets from across the British Empire that were gifted to the Royal Family by Heads of State.
