Ramsey, Manx Electric Railway, Laxey & Snaefell
Ramsey is The largest village on the island, once a bustling fishing port, now a somewhat sleepy village with a few shops and cafes and the start of the Manx Electric Railway.  Snaefell is the highest mountain on the Isle of Man, at 2,037 ft above sea level. It’s tall enough that, on a clear day, you can see the so-called “7 Kingdoms of Man.  Laxey is a small sleepy little village, home to the Manx Electric Railway, Snaefell Mountain Railway and the Great Laxey Wheel, also known as the Lady Isabella, the largest working waterwheel in the world at an impressive 72.5 ft in diameter. The striking red wheel revolves 3 times per minute in its white housing and is a short walk from Laxey village (entrance fee for The Laxey Wheel not included).

Tynwald & Peel
Tynwald in the small hamlet of St Johns, is the home to the original Manx Parliment, said to be the oldest continous parliement in the world with over a 1000 years of history.  Peel is a small fishing port on the West Coast of the Island, with Peel Castle on a rocky islet St Patricks Isle and The House of Mannanan, the Manx Sea God's, Museum and some of the nicest ice-cream on the island - watch out for the Seagulls!

Douglas - Day at Leisure
The islands current capital, where the majority of the island reside or work and where the start of the most famous motorbike race  starts.  The Isle of Man TT Races has been the highlight of the island for many years.  The 37.4-mile course can be covered in about 17 minutes, but that requires an average speed of 135 mph.   If motor bikes are not your thing, then how about a ride on something far less speedy, why not have a ride on the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway - a horse drawn tram pulled by Shire Horses or Clydesdales along Douglas Seafront since 1876.  Or take a visit to the Manx Museum, a short walk through the town centre from our hotel.

Fairy Bridge, Port Erin, Cregneash, Castletown & The Calf of Man Lookout
Port Erin is a lovely seaside village with a railway museum and independent shops and cafes.  It is the terminus for the IOM Steam Railway (optional - not included).  Cregneash is one of the last of the traditional Manx Folk Villages left where farming practises and the distinctive local language still exist. The heritage village has original whitewashed cottages in which you can experience the life of a 19th-century crofter (please be aware Cregneash is on a steep incline and a short walk from the coach park).  The Calf of Man is a small island just off the Southern most tip of the island, it is a bird Sanctuary and only two people live there seasonally.  Castletown a small historical town, which was the capital of the island until 1869.  The town is most famous for its castle – the clue’s in the name.  Dominating the town centre, Castle Rushen was built for a Viking king in the 16th century.  Fairy Bridge, is a blink and you miss it bridge on the A5 between Douglas and the IOM Airport.   It is only recognisable by its small white stones, but passing over this bridge would incur severe bad luck to anyone who does not say "hello to the fairies".  Even the local bus drivers and taxi drivers encourage their passengers to say hello to the fairies and the riders in the TT races all give their best wishes with the hope of gaining good luck.

Optional
The Isle of Man Motor Museum, Jurby (not included - extra cost)
