Sadly, this will be the last ever chance to enjoy a cruise on the Judith Mary II at its current mooring in the Peak District. The boat has been sold and the fabulous crew are retiring.
Come and enjoy this last chance to sail on the wonderful Judith Mary II through the beautiful Peak District from Whaley Bridge and return.
This 2-hour cruise includes: A Hot Turkey Sandwich with stuffing balls, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets & gravy followed by a festive warm mince pie with cream. The Judith Mary will all be decorated for the Christmas festivities and the crew will make this a magical day to remember! (Vegetarian Option is a veggie turkey sandwich)
Once we have completed our cruise we will say our fondest farewells to the wonderful crew of the Judith Mary before making our way to the beautiful High Peak Town of Castleton, which will be decorated for Christmas. Christmas at Castleton is a sight to behold and for many, it is an annual pilgrimage to see the charming, seasonal activities that take place in undoubtedly, one of the most beautifully lit villages in the Peak District. Every December, Castleton, can be relied upon to open its doors. The village of Castleton has a very magical appeal with matching beautifully lit Christmas trees outside nearly every shop, cafe, pub, with decorations attracting visitors from all over the country. So much effort is put into the village making it a welcome Christmas time resort and there is nowhere else in the country quite like the Christmas experience at Castleton.
Many of the shops in Castleton are open a lot later than normal to accommodate the special Christmas shopping needs of their visitors and they always get involved in the festive spirit themselves, usually running competitions and a themed event throughout the whole community with the visitor centre being the first to kick off the activities.
