Scarborough

Come and enjoy a lovely day out in the largest seaside resort on the Yorkshire Coast.

Scarborough is a town of two sides and with very different views.  The North Bay side is the quieter side, although saying that it now has the Scarborough Open Air Theatre where lots of famous acts have appeared, the Scarborough open air swimming pool, Peasholm Park a Japanese themed park with its own full sized pagoda and the miniature railway and along the North Bay Sea front sits the giant of a man Freddie Gilroy, and the belson stragglers statue, a wonderful piece of sculpture, depicting an old man looking out to sea having returned from freeing the prisoners of war at the Bergen Belson Pow camps in WW2.

The South Bay Side of Scarborough has the wonderful amusement arcades, Brunswick Shopping Centre and the town centre shops and amenities along with a beautiful harbour.

Both sides of Scarborough are overlooked by the ruins of Scarborough Castle, situated high on the cliff top and both North and South Bays have a wonderful blue flag beach.

Scarborough has lots to offer for a wonderful day out with plenty of cafes, fish and chip restaurants and pubs galore alongside museums, entertainment and amusement arcades and much more.
